Content Specialist
Job Summary
The Content Specialist participates in the creation, maintenance, and delivery of content for the company’s products by collaborating across the organization. This role involves contributing to product lifecycle management, including new product development, current product enhancements, and product retirement. The Content Specialist also engages in ongoing and ad hoc process improvement initiatives and acts as an informational resource, providing expertise and summary reporting both internally and externally.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the seamless implementation of process migrations by performing tasks such as analyzing, keying, converting, coding, copyreading, editing, merging, rendering, loading, and validating data.
- Support team publishing goals by consistently meeting deadlines.
- Complete tasks aligned with the team’s deliverables, focusing on executing established practices and procedures.
- Regularly work with systems, software, databases, and applications to deliver high-quality products.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of work, demonstrating competence in scheduling, administrative systems, and computer file management.
- Collaborate effectively in a team environment, understanding the roles and contributions of team members.
- Attend and participate in team meetings, prioritize tasks, and engage in the performance management process.
Tasks and Skills Specific to Checkpoint Tools (CPTools) Workflow
Tasks
- Perform quality control on eTools, including Checkpoint Engage, SMART Desktop, and Checkpoint Tools.
- Validate XML content and markup.
- Compare and quality check content, reporting, tracking, and resolving bugs.
- Attend daily standups with the team to discuss product status.
- Collaborate with the Editorial and Technology teams to address process issues, answer questions, and solve problems.
Content Transformation
- Use TIGRE and Arbortext to input content updates, enhancements, and metadata tagging.
- Conduct copy editing and content reviews on updates made by team members.

The pay rate that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $22-$23.50/hr USD
