About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on Electrical / Mechanical Commissioning Lead to oversee and execute commissioning activities for large-scale projects in Iowa. This role is ideal for execution-focused professionals who thrive in a structured environment, working directly on test script development, commissioning plans, and project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement commissioning processes and best practices unique to the data center mission-critical environment.
- Write and execute detailed test scripts, ensuring all commissioning activities meet industry standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation throughout the commissioning lifecycle, including project plans, progress reports, change orders, and final commissioning reports.
- In a player/coach role, manage a team of commissioning project managers while also serving as the main point of contact for stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and consultants on assigned projects.
- Implement quality assurance processes at scale to monitor project performance and ensure compliance with industry codes and regulations.
- Ensure adherence to safety guidelines, industry regulations, and environmental standards.
- Contribute to the growth of commissioning services by participating in RFPs, pitches, and business development activities.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry best practices related to commissioning and project management.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute innovative ideas to enhance project efficiency and delivery.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred, OR 10 to 15 years of related technical experience.
- Proven experience building and managing high-performing teams.
- Prior experience in data center commissioning is highly preferred. Candidates with pharmaceutical or food & beverage industry experience with transferable skills are also encouraged to apply.
- CQV (Commissioning, Qualification, and Validation) experience is a plus

Salary : $120,000 - $150,000
