About the Role - As an MEP Manager, you will be at the forefront of managing mechanical, electrical, and control systems for critical projects, ensuring smooth construction startup, commissioning, and seamless project execution. You'll be responsible for maintaining strict adherence to project schedules and contract requirements while working closely with clients to achieve their goals.
Responsibilities
- Oversee MEP trade contractors, vendors, and procurement processes to ensure seamless integration into project execution.
- Develop and maintain the MEP critical path schedule, keeping everything on track.
- Manage the commissioning process, including third-party coordination, system documentation, and client handovers.
- Ensure accuracy of MEP scope definitions in RFP packages and project documentation.
- Track material deliveries, manage deficiency logs, and oversee subcontractor change orders and budget adjustments.
- Lead pre-construction meetings, develop Methods of Procedure (MOPs) for critical work in live environments, and implement BIM/VDC solutions for optimized design and installation.
- Drive quality control processes for MEP system construction and oversee startup/pretesting activities.
- Promote a safety-first mindset, actively participating in site-specific safety planning.
Qualifications - A B.S. in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
Required Skills
- 5-7 years of general contracting experience, with at least 3 years focused on data centers, hospital construction, or mission-critical MEP commissioning.
- Strong background in MEP system design, installation, and commissioning, along with expertise in construction estimating, document administration, and project budgeting.
- Experience with scheduling tools, Textura, Procore, and Bluebeam is a plus.
