Summary
Thor is seeking a dedicated Millroom team member to join our dynamic team at Thor Motor Coach. In this role, you will cut correct sizes from stock of various types of paneling, metal board, GTS, plywood foam, and ABS for the cabinet shop and production line.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and assembly of materials for motorhome production.
- Ensure all components meet quality standards before they are used in manufacturing.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain an efficient workflow in the millroom.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment.
- Monitor inventory levels of materials and report shortages as necessary.
- Cut correct sizes from stock.
- Slot GTS material to accept T-moulding
- Pin route metal board for step boxes
- Cut stiles on various materials
- Heavy lifting required
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or assembly role is preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Basic understanding of safety procedures in a manufacturing setting
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to various tasks as needed.
- Must be able to read a tape measure
