Azure Solutions Architect

THOR Solutions, LLC is seeking a highly motivated Azure Solutions Architect that has experience within Microsoft's Government Community Cloud High (GCCH) enterprise to enhance THOR's enterprise to meet growing customer requirements. An ideal candidate will have prior experience with designing and implementing cloud architectures to integrate with multiple VPC and B2B requirements. This individual will also understand the federal cybersecurity requirements that would be leveraged against the GCCH environment and THOR's contractual obligations.

Typical Responsibilities

• System administration and maintenance of the THOR enterprise.
• Solutions architecture for test and prod environments to meet contractual obligations.
• Troubleshooting end user problems between laptops to virtual machine accesses.
• Help create THOR IT policies to ensure continued federal cybersecurity requirements are met.
  
  

Location: Hybrid work location, supporting THOR office in Shirlington/Arlington, VA. May also consider candidates local to THOR office in Virginia Beach, VA, or for particularly strong candidates, full remote from most CONUS locations.

Travel Requirements: This position is anticipated to require up to 25% travel, to THOR office locations including sites in VA, DC, CA, RI, and FL.

Typical Physical Activity: Primarily desk/computer work in an office environment. May involve: repetitive motion. May also require physical activity including lifting/moving computer & server hardware assets, setting up workstations, laying network cable, and supporting other IT infrastructure activities.

US Citizenship Required: Due to the requirements of the GCCH environment that this position supports, U.S. citizenship is required. Citizenship will be confirmed via I-9/E-Verify at the start of employment.

Secret Security Clearance Eligibility Required: This position requires eligibility for a DoD Secret security clearance. Only candidates with existing full or interim Secret security clearances (preferred), OR who can affirm that they are eligible, will be considered.

Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• One of the following:
• High school diploma/GED equivalent.
• Information Systems Technician (IT) or equivalent military occupational specialty (MOS) from prior U.S. military service.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology field from an accredited university or college (preferred).
• At least three (3) to seven (7) years of proven experience in Azure solutions architecture of a hybrid cloud solution.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft architecture to include Microsoft Sentinel and other integrated platforms to Azure.
• Demonstrated experience working within the Government Community Cloud High (GCCH) environment.
• Knowledge of configuration management processes and policy writing.
• Demonstrated experience of PowerShell, CLI, and/or Ansible.
• Must possess the following certifications:
• CompTIA Security CE certification,
• OR be willing to obtain it within ninety (90) days of hire,
• OR possess a higher-level certification instead (SC-100, CEH, CISSP, etc.).
• And one of:
• AZ-900 Azure Fundamentals.
• AZ-104 Azure Administrator Associate.
• And ideally, one of:
• AZ-305 Azure Solutions Architect.
• SC-100 Cybersecurity Architect.
• Any certification used to qualify for this position must be current/active. A copy of the certificate/ID number will be requested during the hiring process.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly motivated to continue to grow in a position.
