Construction Foreman/Superintendent

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Construction Foreman/ Superintendent with experience in civil excavation and civil concrete and/or shotcrete, to oversee and manage specific construction scopes on specific projects, under the supervision of the project superintendent. The ideal candidate will have a strong hands on experience in equipment operation, concrete and/or shotcrete, and the placement and tying of concrete reinforcement. Drilling & Shoring Experience Required. A background in crew management, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with team members and clients. This role requires a proactive approach to inventory control and resource management within the scope of the work assigned, ensuring that all work is completed safely and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise construction teams on-site, ensuring adherence to project plans and specifications, while complying with mandated safety requirements.
• Manage scope schedule, ensuring timely completion of scopes while maintaining quality standards, and following required safety requirements.
• Provide training and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of safety and excellence on-site.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Construction Foreman or in a similar supervisory role within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction management principles, including budgeting, estimating, and scheduling.
• Basic Knowledge of construction management software such as ProCore or Raken is preferred.
• Proficient knowledge of MS Office tools Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Familiarity with project scheduling techniques and tools is essential.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage conflicts effectively.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration with various stakeholders.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
• A commitment to safety practices on the job site is mandatory.

• Valid Drivers Licence with driving record meeting the standards of our insurance company for insurability. Employment is conditioned on meeting this requirement.
