We are currently seeking a full-time Certified Pro-Fee Coder. The ideal Coding Specialist applicant must be comfortable managing multiple tasks while also complying with federal and state regulations and upholding a 95% accuracy rate while maintaining confidentiality of medical information.
The responsibilities of the Certified Pro-Fee Coder include, but are not limited to:
- Ensuring the accurate coding of diagnoses and procedures for billing purposes to comply with federal and state regulations, as well as those developed by the American Health Information Management Association Council on Coding and Classification
- Conducting a review of all outpatient records while maintaining a four day turn around time of diagnoses and procedures.
- Coding mostly Evaluation and Management with some procedures. Assist with hospital Outpatient coding when needed.
Job Requirements:
- RHIA, RHIT, CCS-P, CPC and two years minimum medical records training required
- Has 2 years of experience in Professional Fee Coding.
- Extensive knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD-10-CM/PCS and CPT-4
- Experience with Meditech a plus
