What are the responsibilities and job description for the Airbnb Handyman and Maintenance - Part-Time (1099 Contractor) position at Thorn Point Vacation Rentals?
We are seeking a reliable on-call handyman to join our team. Must be able to handle maintenance tasks, big or small. Must be able to handle a variety of tasks with minimal supervision. Must be able to meet strict deadlines and be available when needed, within reason. This is not a full time or even regularly scheduled position. Hours depend on needs that arise. It is typically expected that this is supplemental income for you.
Location: Manhattan, KS
Hours: Hours are based on needs and could be anywhere from 0 hours, to 15 hours per week.
Pay: Per task at a rate of $25/hour
We will pay a minimum of 1.5 hours ($38) per scheduling.
Time starts upon arrival to job site and ends once you are finished with the tasks. We do not pay for your travels to and from the job site.
In order to receive payment, we must receive clear before and after pictures and a description of the work that was done.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to and perform task requests in a timely manner (examples below)
- Complete tasks and meet strict deadlines
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Communicate well and in a timely manner
- Follow detailed instructions without much supervision.
Requirements:
- Own reliable transportation
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks
- Good communication skills and ability to work well with others
- Flexibility with reasonable on-call availability 7 days a week
