Position: Robotics Coordinator
Job Summary: To oversee the District's Robotics program
Compensation: 4% of TKEA Step 1 Base Salary
Qualifications:
1. High school diploma
2. Experience with Robotics program preferred
3. Excellent organizational, oral, and written communication skills
Job Responsibilities:
1. Publicity Activities
- Provide information about program for newspaper articles, TK website, The Key, Community Enrichment department, etc.
2. Membership Activities
- Register teams with VEX, FIRST Lego League memberships, etc. annually
- Register teams for Regional, State, and National tournaments annually
- Purchase required kits and other supplies as needed
- Oversee t-shirt design, orders and monies collected
3. Financial
- Actively pursue financial support from the community (businesses and grants)
- Collect team member participation fees
- Balance account with TK Administration staff
- Seek treasurer to allow for dual controls on finances
4. Facilities
- Help teams secure needed practice locations and access to buildings
- Ensure storage space is available
5. Coaches
- Recruit and train volunteer coaches
- Support coaches with weekly contacts during the season and as needed
- Attend practice for each team as necessary
6. Students
- Recruit and develop teams with coaches and administrators
- Provide programming practice opportunities for team members throughout off-season months
