Position Summary:Thornberry Creek at Oneida is seeking an energetic and customer-focused Banquet Bartender: to provide exceptional beverage service at weddings, golf outings, corporate events, and other special occasions. The ideal candidate is outgoing, professional, and passionate about delivering an outstanding guest experience in a fun and fast-paced event setting.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with event specifications and company standards.
- Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area throughout the event.
- Follow all state and local alcohol service laws, including checking guest identification and practicing responsible service.
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and securely when required.
- Assist in setting up and breaking down bar stations before and after events.
- Monitor guest behavior and manage alcohol consumption to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment.
- Work collaboratively with banquet staff, event coordinators, and management to ensure smooth event operations.
- Follow all safety, sanitation, and cleanliness guidelines.
- Must be at least 18 years old (21 preferred) to serve alcoholic beverages.
- Previous bartending or banquet service experience preferred.
- Knowledge of cocktail preparation, beer, wine, and responsible beverage service.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a positive and outgoing personality.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume event environment.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Must have or be willing to obtain required alcohol service certification.
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules.
