Job Summary

This role is responsible for the management and delivery of the firm’s investment performance and investment analytics. This individual will be responsible for building and developing a strong team to support our strategic goals and objectives; developing and evolving a high-quality a set of repetitive and ad-hoc performance measurement and analytics processes for the firms’ complex data and reporting needs is critical part of this position. This person will work closely with various teams across the firm and vendors to ensure the consistent production and availability of accurate investment data and analytics to inform decision making.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Establish and manage processes and controls to monitor data quality and ensure the timely delivery of accurate data and analytics, including data coordination, reconciliation, and system integration.
• Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement, including root cause analysis, providing internal stakeholders and senior management detailed change possibilities and associated business justification.
• Collaborate across teams to improve processes; identify and resolve complex problems involving procedural weakness and data integrity issues.
• Work closely with internal teams and trusted vendors to ensure complete, accurate, and timely investment data, including identifying and resolving issues.
• Act as subject-matter-expert on all facets of analytics including data inputs, calculation and methodology and data interpretation and visualization.
• Calculate and/or validate calculated returns, fees, performance attribution, exposure, and analytics for the firm.
• Ensure composite and fund performance results are calculated, constructed, and presented according to the Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS), including the management of the firm’s annual GIPS verification for composite controls.
• Hire, develop, and manage a high-quality team in support of these deliverables.

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or similar.
• CIPM, CFA, or CPA - preferred.
• Minimum 5-7 plus years direct related experience.
• Knowledge of financial services , industry, and Thornburg products.
• Proven leadership ability to help guide and support staff.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Knowledge of industry analytic tools such as FactSet, Investortools Perform, Bloomberg - preferred.
• Knowledge of the GIPS Standards and GIPS Reports - preferred.
• Exposure to CAPS Composite software - preferred.
• Confluence Technologies experience a plus
• Must be proficient in Excel and additional Microsoft Office products.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities.
