POSITION SUMMARY: The Calibration Technician is responsible for assisting the Calibration Specialist to ensure the accuracy and precision of measurement instruments and equipment used in manufacturing or industrial environments. This role involves performing routine calibrations, basic troubleshooting measurement discrepancies, maintaining calibration records, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. The Calibration Technician works closely with the Calibration Specialist and engineering teams to uphold product integrity and operational efficiency
RESPONSIBILITIES – Satisfactorily performing and/or achieving the following Responsibilities are essential duties of the job.
- Perform routine calibrations of instruments, gauges, and measurement equipment in accordance with established procedures and industry standards.
- Perform basic adjustments and repairs on measurement devices to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Maintain accurate and detailed calibration records, including certificates and compliance documentation.
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary calibration documentation.
- Monitor and manage calibration schedules to ensure all equipment remains in compliance.
- Utilize calibration software and databases to track instrument status and history.
- Support production systems.
- Remove and rectify equipment out of tolerance.
- Ensure compliance to cGMP, regulatory regulations.
- Responsible for maintaining the calibration schedule for all equipment and instruments on site.
- Ability to initiate and complete reports in a timely manner.
- Ability to work independently with little direction in a fast-paced environment.
- Conduct formal and informal performance assessments of staff, including performance versus expectations and goals, behaviors, and leadership potential, and seek the same for self.
- Actively participate in required training and development programs and electives as suit one’s needs, and support colleagues, trainers, and management as appropriate with these efforts
What You Need:
Experience and/or Education: High School diploma or G.E.D. is required. Associates degree from a two-year college or technical institution preferred.
