POSITION SUMMARY: The eCommerce Compliance Specialist assists in preserving the value of the Thorne brand and protecting our legal interests by monitoring and reviewing compliance matters across all channels where Thorne products are sold. The position plays a key role in protecting and growing brand value by a) ensuring that customers, resellers, and distributors comply with Thorne’s terms and conditions of sale, and policies; b) removing unauthorized sellers; c) eliminating product diversion; and d) maintaining accurate records of violations, enforcement actions and upkeeping Thorne’s do-not-sell list. The eCommerce Compliance Specialist actively engages with a cross-functional teams which includes sales, marketing, customer service, operations, and shipping. This role will also include working with third-party online brand protection partners
RESPONSIBILITIES – Satisfactorily performing and/or achieving the following Responsibilities are essential duties of the job.
- Assist in the surveillance of various e-commerce platforms to ensure reseller compliance with Thorne’s policies.
- Remove unauthorized sellers on ecommerce third party websites and violative websites.
- Monitor and coordinate efforts to ensure that distributors and authorized resellers successfully achieve MAP compliance in markets where such practice is allowed.
- Investigate and stop schemes that divert products to unauthorized channels in both domestic and international markets.
- Conduct product quality control audits for Thorne online resellers.
- Actively monitor the internet for noncompliant practices, quality control issues, outdated images, and pricing violations on websites or online marketplace platforms.
- Conduct in-depth vetting of new Thorne applicants as requested.
- Maintain accurate records of marketplace activities, tracking and reporting violations with precision.
- Assist in conducting product counterfeit investigations and establishing authenticity and chain-of-custody documentation.
- Assist in special web-related responsibilities and assigned tasks as assigned by the eCommerce Compliance Supervisor or the Deputy General Counsel.
What you Need:
EXPERIENCE / COMPETENCIES / PROFICIENCIES – Satisfactorily achieving and/or meeting the following Experience, Competencies, and Proficiencies are essential duties of the job:
• Experience and/or Education: Bachelor’s degree required or a minimum of 5 years’ experience, with a demonstrated track record of success as a compliance specialist, brand protection specialist, ecommerce analyst or similar role.
• Comprehensive understanding of the ecommerce channel and online selling platforms and social media apps relating to health products, dietary supplements, and natural products.
