POSITION SUMMARY: Facilities Cleaning Lead is responsible for leading and coordinating the work of the custodians in cleaning the Company’s buildings and other facilities, performing minor maintenance, and moving furniture and office equipment. The Facilities Cleaning Lead works with the Facilities Cleaning Supervisor to plan, prioritize, and train custodian staff.
RESPONSIBILITIES – Satisfactorily performing and/or achieving the following Responsibilities are essential duties of the job.
- Works with Facilities Cleaning Supervisor to plan, prioritize, assign, oversee, and participate in the work of staff responsible for the cleaning and appearance of Thorne facilities and grounds.
- Establish schedules, methods, and inspections to assure areas of responsibility are maintained in a constant state of inspection-readiness, including cleanliness, safety, and compliance with cGMP requirements.
- Participate in the defining and development of standards, policies, and procedures.
- Coordinate and oversee work performed by outside contractors and vendors pertaining to custodial services, gowning supplies, and non-inventory supplies.
- Promote continuous improvement of workplace safety, environmental practices, area processes, and waste reduction opportunities.
- Know and follow the Thorne Research policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
- Develop and strengthen staff and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
- Promote the Company’s Mission and Values, including an accountable, innovative, and results-oriented culture that promotes customer service, openness, teamwork, mutual trust, and respect.
- Team lead will oversee and train employees to help them improve in their roles.
What You Need:
- Experience and/or Education: By training, education and/or experience, employee must be able to perform the essential duties of the job. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. 3 years of facilities/cleaning experience in a manufacturing facility is required.
