Summary of Optometry Technician/Receptionist:
Thornton Youth Vision is hiring for a bilingual Optometry Technician/Receptionist for a primarily pediatric optometry office.
This office shares a patient base with a long time dental office so the candidate must work with that office effectively.
Ideal Optometry Office Technician/Receptionist History:
Experience in an optometry or medical office
Will train the right candidate in lieu of optometry experience
Experience with pediatric patients
Go-getter attitude
Bilingual Spanish/English Required - non-bilingual candidates will not be considered
Optometry Office Technician/Receptionist Responsibilities:
Front desk reception and scheduling
Scheduling from Dental schedule and converting patients to Vision
Pre-testing vision
Scribing for doctors during exams
Fitting glasses to all patients, primarily children
An understanding of state health plans
Invoicing charges
Responsibility of maintaining the schedule to ensure no downtime
The ability to understand patient flow and adjust as necessary
Developing strong professional relationships with all doctors
