Management Responsibilities:
Management responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Train and empower team members to delight guests through demonstrating Thorntons core values
- Expertly manage sales, shrink, gross profit and supplies by maintaining excellent store standards
- Control labor costs, supplies, cash and inventory within budget to maximize profitability
- Ability to delegate tasks appropriately and follow up to ensure completion
- Hold team members to a high standard of execution through coaching and accountability
- Recruit, interview and hire all store staff to ensure adequate coverage for all shifts
- Provide proper orientation, initial and ongoing training, and regular evaluation of all team members to ensure success and development
- Communicates with team members in ways that motivates and inspires them to act in accordance with Plan to Win
- Promote and ensure a clean, organized and safe work environment
- Adapts to the changing needs of the business
Requirements: Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a restaurant or retail environment for General Managers High energy and strong work ethic Excellent interpersonal skills Possess effective leadership and management behaviors Self-motivated to achieve excellence Ability to teach, demonstrate, communicate and promote a guest-focused attitude and approach Excellent customer service skills High school diploma or GED Flexible and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment Ability to work a minimum of 50 hours a week (including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays) Willing and able to complete a pre-employment criminal background check
We have had success with candidates that have held positions in industries such as restaurants, fast food service, full service, grocery, retail, hospitality, and beverage. We will consider candidates that have held previous job titles such as shift lead, shift supervisor, QSR, cashiers in retail, assistant manager, general manager, fast food manager, and convenience stores.
