Under the direct supervision of the Transportation Supervisor, operates school buses safely under all types of weather conditions. Paid Training available.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the direct supervision of the Transportation Supervisor, operates school buses safely under all types of weather conditions.
- Operate a school bus in accordance with the laws of the State of Washington and the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction.
- Service, inspect, fuel and clean school buses and related equipment as required.
- Maintain control of student passengers as related to safety.
- Report unsafe acts or conditions that require the attention of any person other than the driver.
- Complete forms, records and reports as required.
- Operate wheelchair lift and/or assist student loading and unloading from the school bus.
- Interact effectively with students, parents, staff and public.
- Other duties as assigned.
PRIMARY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Possess a current CDL with school bus endorsement or attend paid district training and receive CDL with school bus endorsement before start of position.
- Possess current First Aid/CPR certificate or attend paid district training and receive First Aid/CPR certificate before start of position.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $23.22 - $28.64 per hour
