What You Will Do
Data Engineering Leadership
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines, ensuring data integrity and efficiency on Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, or Palantir Foundry.
- Oversee the development of ETL/ELT processes, transforming raw data into usable formats for analysis and reporting using tools like Snowflake or Databricks.
- Implement data integration strategies to combine data from various sources, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Develop and optimize data models and databases to support current and future business needs on platforms like AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse Analytics, or Palantir Foundry.
- Design and develop reports and dashboards using data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Analyze trends or patterns in complex datasets to provide actionable insights.
- Perform data quality validations to ensure accuracy and alignment with business requirements.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their unique data challenges and recommend tailored solutions.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for data integration, modeling, and architecture across the organization.
- Conduct stakeholder interviews, data profiling, and process mapping to identify client needs.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to clients, ensuring alignment with industry best practices.
- Oversee the delivery of complex data engineering projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Monitor project progress, proactively addressing risks or issues.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions that meet client objectives.
- Mentor and coach junior team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative team culture.
- Set clear expectations, provide feedback, and encourage professional growth within the team.
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 7 years proven experience as a Data Engineer, preferably in a consulting or professional services environment.
- Strong expertise in SQL, Python, and data manipulation tools such as Alteryx or Tableau.
- Proven experience with the entire data integration lifecycle, including ETL development and data modeling.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Palantir Foundry.
- Knowledge of APIs and experience in developing or integrating API-driven solutions.
- Proficiency in relational and NoSQL databases.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Willingness to work in a hybrid work environment
- Experience with AWS services like Glue, Redshift, EMR, Kinesis, or Azure equivalents, or Palantir Foundry components.
- Familiarity with big data tools such as Apache Airflow, Spark, or Databricks.
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field.
- Certifications in cloud platforms or data engineering tools.
