Job Description
ThoughtSpot (TS) Professional Services Organization provides a complete set of services that enable our customers to be successful with putting the power of a thousand analysts in every business person's hands. Our Solution Architects (SA) are responsible for driving successful implementation projects for their assigned accounts. Their goal is to architect a solution that delivers the benefits and value expected from ThoughtSpot. The SA must be able to understand a client’s desired goals and business objectives and then craft a solution that meets those nee
ds. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment and enjoy collaborating with a team of colleagues passionate about data and driving success for our customers. The SA will work cross-functionally with our Engagement Managers (EM), Customer Success (CS), Sales, Solutions Consultants (SC), Support, Delivery Partners, Product Management, and Engineering to accomplish their responsibilities.
- Customer Engagement Level Expectations:
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor to the client’s technical team
- Deliver successful end-to-end technical architecture to meet client’s business objectives and BI/Analytics requirements
- Design the ThoughtSpot solution for performance and scalability
- Advise client on data quality requirements for ThoughtSpot
- Design data models for BI/Analytics needs to help customers answer business questions for the identified usecase
- Understand, document, and design for client’s security requirements
- Design relevant ThoughtSpot artifacts that will help drive the desired end-user experience
- Work with Engagement Managers to drive issue resolution
- Collaborate with Sales, Solutions Consultant and Customer Success to transition from value activation to value assurance/realization
- Establish working relationships with the relevant client sponsors
- Enable customer resources in ThoughtSpot administration
Requirements
Qualified candidates must have prior consulting experience, a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, and the following experience:
- Requirements:
- Experience in consulting/solution delivery, with 5-10 years of designing and leading complex data and analytics implementations
- Extensive experience in ability to understand client’s objectives and requirements (use case), translating it to technical design and solution to drive client’s business imperatives
- Solid experience working with Sales teams to deliver client solutions
Experience working with Product Management and Engineering teams to prioritize customer product requests/defects to deliver successful engagements
Preferences
- Strong knowledge of data warehousing ecosystem (e.g., data sources / ETL / data warehouse / data marts)
- Familiarity with understanding of different types of schemas (OLTP vs. OLAP, snowflake, etc.)
- Experience using products such as Tableau, PowerBI, Looker, Sisense, MicroStrategy, etcHaving experience with using SDKs of Tableau, PowerBI, Looker, Sisense, and MicroStrategy will be nice to have
- Front-end development experience building web applications using Javascript frameworks such as ReactJS, Angular, etc.
- Experience with utilizing Javascript-based SDKs available from different tools and products
- Programming experience with HTML5 and CSSAuthentication and Authorization setups for web applications using Single Sign On, oAuth, cookieless authentication
- Nice to have Python experience
- Nice to have Application development and embedding experience
- Ability to embed different products within a web application
- Experience with cloud data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, Google BigQuery, etc)
- Hands-on experience with SQLPrior consulting
