DevOps Engineer
Work Location: Addison, TX (5 days per week in office)
PROJECT DETAILS (Size, Scale, Scope):
What is the scope of work that is being completed?
Automation - horizontal push across multiple apps. Growing automation covering 10 to 12 apps instead of 3-4
What part of the project is this resource supporting?
Day to day responsibilities strictly DevOps ping product automation. Ansible, update install and configure the new environment.
How to navigate through Linux operating system.
Playbook creation, templating through automation files. Working closely with Ping engineers.
MUST HAVES (TOP 3):
1. Experience automating CICD Pipelines end-to-end (Jenkins, Ansible, Artifactory, Bitbucket & XLR (for some templating))
2. Expert in YAML playbooks
3. Working knowledge of Linux OS and Git
NICE TO HAVES (OR WHAT GETS THE WIN):
1. Prev. Exp. Deploying Java
2. Kubernetes / OpenShift
3. Cloud Certified (AWS/Azure/Google)
4. IAM solutions experience
ADDITIONAL QUESTIONS:
Technical Environment: Linux OS, Git, CICD Jenkins, Ansible, Artifactory, Bitbucket & XLR (for some templating)
Team Size & Structure:
Automation team 3 CEs, 1 is more senior. The senior CE is the lead on that team. For the last year they have been building playbooks for Ping, Ping access. 3 FTEs working on apps the Manager doesnt currently own.
Adding this person to that team. Automating current products.
Soft Skills/Company Culture: Excellent communication skills. Work with various teams to ensure clear communication of action plan.
Industry: Is specific industry experience required? No
