Role:Network Engineer II
Location:Hybrid role in Baltimore, MD
Duration:12 Months
Must haves from the manager:
5-8 Years of hands on Network Engineering experience.
Must have experience with Arista Networks
(Arista is very niche so if you find someone that is strong with design
and set up of new networks from scratch with Cisco we might be open to seeing them
but just know they wont get an interview at all if someone is presented with ANY Arista experience so I would really target that!)
Detailed knowledge of Arista networking systems and Cloud Vision Portal.
Detailed knowledge of Cisco networking systems.
Detailed knowledge of Palo Alto Firewall
Preferred- Arista Networks certification.
Preferred- CCNP or CCDP certification.
Preferred- Experience with police departments or law enforcement agency networks.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Plan medium sized technical projects from inception to completion by using standard project planning tools to deliver successful solutions.
Responsible for network planning, network architecture design and engineering by reviewing work of junior staff to ensure network projects are delivered successfully.
Install and configure networks from inception to completion by following standard project plans to deliver successful solutions.
Install and configure medium size networks, including implementation
and verification of connections to remote sites in a WAN by using established procedures and tools to deliver quality products to customers.
Install, configure, and interpret results of network analyzers to proactively manage performance and identify, resolve, and prevent problems.
applications/systems, and patterned vs. non-repeatable issues to deliver solution to the problem.
Interface successfully and positively with a broad customer base with varying degrees of technical competency by using verbal, written, and other communication tools.
Work with consultants and vendors on the implementation of advanced networking technologies,
by participating in meetings, forums, or seminars to provide guidance in the use of newer technologies.
Collaborate with other School police departments IT departments for best practices
Mentor staff positions such as Network Engineer I, Analysts, or Network Technicians by providing guidance and training.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Required qualifications:
