What are the responsibilities and job description for the Graphic Designer/Production Artist position at Thousand Islands Winery®?
Established in 2002, the Thousand Islands Winery® has established itself as a regional landmark in the Thousand Islands region of New York. Thousand Islands Winery is the largest wine producer in the Thousand Islands and is located in Alexandria Bay, NY. It is a premium wine making facility with production, farming, and wine distribution operations. In 2009, it was named as New York’s “Winery of the Year” by the New York Wine and Grape Foundation.
Thousand Islands Winery® is seeking a Graphic Design and Production coordinator that will work with the Marketing Director and Sales VP to develop and distribute graphics and signage for the Thousand Islands Winery® and increase overall company sales.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- utilize illustrative software programs to design copyright material for production in house (material includes: pamphlets, bottling stickers, store merchandise and vinyl printing)
- all relevant production tools are on-site; requires experience with Canva, Adobe Pro, Photoshop, WordPress and associated software programs
- Work with outside vendors and sales reps to develop and produce marketing materials, using our on-site state of the art printing lab
- Work with multiple Winery departments to meet the graphic design needs of each department
- Create printing materials design and production files
- Be able to work with Wordpress / Elementor Pro
- Create Landing pages in Wordpress / Elementor Pro
- Create Pop-up design in Wordpress / Elementor Pro
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- An Associate Degree in Graphic Design/ Production or related field with 2 years of work experience minimum..
- Strong understanding and experience with creating digital content and managing social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest…)
- Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Excel and Word).
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite software and photography equipment a plus.
- Strong presentation, verbal, visual, and written communication skills with an ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Must be detail oriented with excellent communication, organizational, project management, and leadership skills.
- A flexible work schedule for proper execution of the job. Weekends and evenings may be required during peak season.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
