Thousand Islands Winery, located in Alexandria Bay, NY is looking for an energetic and adaptive Markets and Festivals Coordinator. The Farmers Markets and Festivals Coordinator is a seasonal position that is responsible for coordinating the Winery's attendance at Farmers Markets and Festivals across New York. The coordinator is responsible for administratively and logistically setting up several Outside Markets and Festival Representatives from across NYS with the requirements needed for event success. The ideal candidate must be able to work independently, have attention to detail, customer service and administrative experience.
Primary Duties:
· Provide administrative oversight of all festivals & markets through visual aid
· Coordinate details and logistics with up to 6 Outside Sales Representatives
· Conduct physical inventories as required
· Provide event feedback as needed to improve sales and to meet/exceed sales goals
· Provide back up support for offsite markets and festivals (includes resupply of product, equipment maintenance, festival attendance)
Prior experience, qualifications and/or skills:
· Desire to increase knowledge about wine and the wine industry
· Cash handling and sales experience
· Prior customer service experience
· Computer Proficiency
· Written, verbal, analytical and organizational skills
· Experience with inventory management
· Weekend and evening availability
· Ability to lift and move 40 pounds repeatedly
· Ability to understand and accurately follow written and verbal instructions.
· Must be at least 21 years of age.
· Valid NYS driver license
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 12 – 32 per week
