About us
THR is a family adult foster care rather than a corporate foster care. We have been running since 2017. We strive for the family feeling and hope our team members do too. We are currently looking for motivated individuals to join our team an evening direct support professional. Shifts will be 4pm to 10pm during the week and 2pm to 10 pm on the weekend. To excel in this position an individual must demonstrate compassion, patience, and strong communication skills. They'll be required to prepare dinner, pass medications, document progress and goals, complete typical housekeeping, and maintain bedtime routines.

Duties:
Provides supports to people served by assisting people in achieving their personal goals and desires, providing interaction and choices for activities that support a meaningful day, and assisting people with activities of daily living.
Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly home by following safety and infection control procedures, and cleaning routines as established by License Holders; educates people about maintaining a clean and safe environment in their personal rooms.
Performs daily activities such as meal preparation and planning, medication administration, laundry, and personal care.
Maintains and expands skills and knowledge relevant to providing high quality support and services. Obtains and maintains all required certifications and trainings and applies the information to support people served.
Maintains open communication and cooperative work effort with License Holders and other staff to assure quality and continuity of support to people served.
Reports and/or documents routine and unusual events including completing daily logs, accident reports, outcome data sheets, medication administration records, etc. in a concise, understandable, and legible manner.
Ensures people are treated with dignity and respect.
*Performs other duties as assigned.
Pay is based on experience
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Current and valid driver's license
- Clear communication skills
- High school degree or equivalent
- Clear a DHS background check
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPR Certification
- First Aid Certification
