FULL CHARGE BOOKKEEPER AND OFFICE MANAGER
Thread FX is actively seeking an experienced, team-oriented, hands-on Full Charge Bookkeeper and Office Manager to join our team. You will be leading the accounting and procurement teams and will report directly to the company CEO. This position will be responsible for all financial aspects of the company, and duties will include daily financial operations, financial and sales reporting, procurement oversight, payroll and benefits administration, basic human resources, and general office administration. A successful candidate must be willing to work in a fast-paced environment and have excellent communication skills. This position is full-time, and the work will be performed on-site at our office in Nashville, TN.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Develop, oversee, and supervise the accounting and procurement teams with dynamic leadership that creates an environment of trust and productivity
· Maintain financial controls and guidelines, with the opportunity to develop and refine.
· Conduct and facilitate month-end financial close process and function, inclusive of bank and credit card reconciliations
· Prepare monthly financial statements
· Conduct and facilitate duties associated with the Company’s daily, weekly, and monthly accounts receivable (deposits) and accounts payable (vendor bills & credit card) functions
· Manage deadlines with regards to insurances, tax payments, and other various scheduled tasks
· Responsible for understanding, researching, and analyzing timekeeping and payroll information
· Completing bi-weekly payroll for approx. 30 employees to submit to a third-party payroll company
· Experienced in performing basic Human Resource tasks such as employee onboarding, benefit administration, etc.
· Assist with managing the 401k plan (reporting, year-end functions)
· Prepare standard monthly journal entries and relevant support
· Identify ways to reduce cost & improve efficiency
· Coordinate with company CPA to complete taxes
· Other projects and duties as assigned by CEO

· Working knowledge of state and local tax compliance regulations and reporting
· Working knowledge of accounting law and regulatory standards (GAAP)
· Working knowledge of depreciation, payroll, and general ledger accounting, analyzing variances from the trend in financial reporting from budget and prior periods
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
· 8 years' experience as a full charge bookkeeper or hands on accounting manager (Required)
· 5 years' experience as a senior-level accounting or finance manager (optional)
· Education-BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business Administration (preferred, not required)
· Relevant industry experience in manufacturing/distribution (preferred, not required)
· Working knowledge of inventory and warehouse management systems (preferred, not required)
