Bookkeeper & Financial Analyst
Location: Southern California (Hybrid/Remote Options Available)
Employment Type: Part-Time (25 hours per week)
About Us
We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Bookkeeper & Financial Analyst to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who excels in financial record-keeping, thrives on data analysis, and enjoys leveraging technology to drive smarter business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Bookkeeping & Financial Management:
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.
- Maintain general ledger entries and reconciliations with precision.
- Track and analyze inventory costs, ensuring alignment with financial projections.
- Prepare and process invoices, monitoring cash flow and payment cycles.
- Support tax preparation and compliance, coordinating with external accountants.
Financial Analysis & Reporting:
- Develop and configure Salesforce reports to track business performance and customer trends.
- Analyze CDBP reports to extract insights on sales performance and financial health.
- Provide data-driven recommendations to leadership for optimizing profitability.
Excel & Pricing Strategy:
- Create and maintain accurate price lists in Excel for various textile products.
- Utilize advanced Excel functions (pivot tables, formulas, VLOOKUPs) to optimize pricing structures.
- Ensure seamless pricing updates in Shopify, collaborating with the product team.
Salesforce & Shopify Integration:
- Maintain and update financial and customer data in Salesforce.
- Assist with product pricing, promotional campaigns, and financial tracking in Shopify.
- Train team members on best practices for Salesforce and Shopify data management.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
- Experience: Proven track record in bookkeeping, financial analysis, and reporting, ideally in a wholesale, textile, or luxury goods environment.
- Technical Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data modeling).
- Experience with Salesforce reporting tools.
- Familiarity with Shopify for product pricing and updates.
- Analytical Mindset: Ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights.
- Detail-Oriented & Highly Organized: Ability to manage multiple tasks accurately and efficiently.
- Excellent Communication: Ability to convey financial insights to non-financial team members.
