The PMO plays a strategic role in ensuring that projects are managed efficiently and align with organizational objectives. They provide governance, standards, and best practices for project execution while monitoring project performance and resource allocation.

The Scrum Master is responsible for facilitating Agile practices, fostering collaboration, and ensuring that the Scrum framework is effectively applied to deliver high-quality products. They act as a servant leader, removing impediments, guiding the team, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain project management methodologies, standards, and tools to ensure consistent project execution.
  • Provide governance and oversight of project portfolios, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Support project managers by offering guidance on scope, timeline, and resource management.
  • Monitor and report on project and portfolio performance, risks, and key milestones to stakeholders and executives.
  • Facilitate resource planning and allocation to optimize team performance and project success.
  • Ensure effective change management processes are in place for project scope and deliverables.
  • Drive continuous improvement in project management practices and tools.
  • Provide training and mentorship to project teams to enhance project delivery capabilities.
  • Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives).
  • Support the Product Owner in backlog management and ensuring work is well-defined and prioritized.
  • Coach team members on Agile principles and Scrum practices to promote self-organization and accountability.
  • Identify and remove obstacles that hinder team productivity and progress.
  • Act as a liaison between the development, Infra team and stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency.
  • Track and communicate team performance metrics, such as velocity and sprint progress.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by facilitating retrospectives and driving actionable outcomes.
  • Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and motivated team environment.
