Firearms Instructor

Threat Dynamics is growing, and that means new opportunities! We are currently looking to fill an Operator/Instructor/Sales position with a friendly, energetic, knowledgeable person.

Threat Dynamics is a full-service firearm facility offering training, practice, and retail services to a wide range of customers. We offer two state-of-the-art firearms training simulators, an indoor live-fire shooting range, and a premium retail store. Our mission is to be top tier in knowledge, approachability, friendliness, and premium firearms training. We have a fun atmosphere to work in, but also deal with a very serious subject matter.

As we pride ourselves on excellent Customer Service and being the experts in the industry, this is a very important role.

On a daily basis you will:
- Operate our two state-of-the-art simulators running everyone from new to experienced shooters
- Be the face of Threat Dynamics by being knowledgeable about firearms, training, and concealed carry
- Ring up sales using a point-of-sale system
- Assist in booking appointments, answering phones
- Assist on the retail floor making sales, including the sale of firearms, and running background checks
- Talk to customers about classes, services, products, Concealed Carry, etc.

Skills needed for this position:
- Strong background with firearms and concealed carry
- Prior or current Law Enforcement, Military, or competitive shooting background is a plus but not required
- Hold or have the ability to obtain an Oregon Concealed Handgun License within 30 days of employment
- NRA Basic Pistol Instructor Certified (is a plus but not required)
- Experience in a customer service industry
- Experience in personalized sales in a retail environment
- Skills with computers

Position Details:
Full or Part-Time
Starting $20 ph Tips & Bonuses (Instructors do very well with Tips and Bonuses!)

Schedule:

4 10-hour shifts per week. Revolving Schedule.

Some evenings and weekends are required. We are open Tuesday through Sunday from 10 am to 7 pm.

$30 per hour is potential after promotion to Instructor that can easily be obtained in under 2 months to qualified individuals. The average Instructor has the potential to make $40,000 to $60,000 (full-time) a year with more room to grow into management roles.
