Overview: Threat Tec is seeking a qualified Special Operations Terminal Attack Controller Course (SOTACC) Instructor to join our team at Camp Lejeune. This position supports MARFORSOC in providing comprehensive training to Special Forces troops across the Army, Air Force, and Marine Corps, focusing on close air support missions and certification as Joint Terminal Attack Controllers (JTACs).
\n- Conduct JTAC instruction in classroom settings, live training environments, and Live Virtual Constructed (LVC) simulations according to Joint Publications and SOCOM directives.
- Maintain JTAC, JTAC-I, and JTAC-E qualifications as per JFS ESC AP MOA 200 01, SOCOM M350-5, and MARFORSOC supplemental orders.
- Support MARFORSOC internal exercises, including live fly close air support and other specified activities.
- Assist in range scheduling and fulfill Range Safety Officer (RSO) duties as required for training events.
- Provide mission duties for range operations and manage CAS malfunction/incident response and reporting.
- Minimum Secret security clearance.
- JTAC instructor qualification and certification (JTAC-I/E) within the last 48 months.
- Minimum of two years' experience as a JTAC within a Special Operations Forces (SOF) organization, preferably MARSOC SOF JTAC-I from CSO MOS.
- Familiarity with service JTAC guidance and instructions (e.g., JFS ESC AP MOA 2004-01, USSOCOM M350-5).
- Equivalent experience to GS 13-5 level.
- TS/SCI Clearance
- Ability to travel as required for training and exercise support, coordinated with MARFORSOC and SOTACC leadership.
