POSITION SUMMARY :

Assure the effective functioning of the MHA Interpretive Center facility to provide an efficient and safe working environment for MHA artifacts, employees and their activities by using best business practices to manage resources, services and processes to meet the needs of the MHA Interpretive Center. Planning and coordinating all installations and refurbishments. Managing the upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards. Follow the bid processing requirements of the MHA Nation for repairs, maintenance, or renovations. Any outside Contractors must be accompanied by the Facilities Manager or his designee.

Requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

Responsibilities :

  • Overseeing daily operations : Ensuring smooth functioning of the facility.
  • Managing staff and contractors : Coordinating maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Ensuring safety protocols : Conducting regular inspections and maintaining safety standards.
  • Budget management : Overseeing the facility's budget and managing expenses.
  • Compliance : Ensuring the facility meets local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Customer service : Addressing tenant and guest concerns promptly.
  • Facility Management program including preventative maintenance and life-cycle requirements inspections, ensure compliance with health and safety standards and industry codes.
  • supervise maintenance and repair of facilities and equipment oversee facility refurbishment and renovations.
  • implement best practice processes to increase efficiency
  • Request for Bids from vendors and suppliers
  • manage and review service contracts to ensure facility management needs are being met
  • ensure delivery schedules, quantity and quality criteria are met.

  • check completed work by contractors and vendors
  • verify payment and invoicing match contract pricing
  • Work with Director on plan and monitor appropriate facility management staffing levels ensure efficient utilization of facility maintenance staff
  • performance manage, develop and train Maintenance staff
  • generate and present regular reports and reviews of facility-related budgets, finances, contracts, expenditures and purchases
  • Any duty advised by Director as needed.

  • respond to facility and equipment alarms and system failures
  • provide prompt response to requests and issues from facility occupants
  • And other duties as assigned.

    SUPERVISORY REQUIREMENTS :

  • The requirement for managing maintenance work performance.
  • KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES :

  • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION :

  • Degree in Facilities Management, Facilities Engineering, Business Administration or related qualification such as project management, business management or construction management or a combination of work experience and education. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer software programs.
