Job Description:
Store Manager Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day store operations, including staff supervision and customer satisfaction.
- Oversee inventory management, sales analysis, and implement strategies to improve store performance.
Key Tasks
- Manage inventory and ensure product availability.
- Merchandise new products and manage seasonal changes according to company standards.
- Oversee receiving process and manage shrink.
- Conduct performance evaluations and recommend personnel actions.
- Coordinate logistics with truck drivers for loading and unloading.
- Maintain store conditions, set priorities, and supervise team members to achieve company goals.
- Manage equipment and facility maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with safety and security procedures and corporate policies.
Requirements
- Proficient with various equipment, including manual pallet jacks, trash compactors, cardboard baler, product marking gun, shrink wrap machine.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Able to occasionally operate cash registers and standard office equipment.
- Comfort working in a climate-controlled environment with occasional exposure to extreme cold and chemicals.
- 5 years of retail experience preferred, but not required if accompanied by post-secondary education and other relevant experience.
