What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dog Bather/Retail Associate position at Three Dog Bakery & Grooming?
This is a dual role so great customer service experience is a must.
As a Retail Associate you are responsible for assisting customers as they shop within a store. Their duties include greeting customers, answering questions related to the merchandise and store policies and locating items for customers. In this position you will:
- Welcoming and engaging with customers as they enter the store
- Assessing customers’ needs and suggesting solutions to their problems
- Working with cash registers and processing payments
- Setting and attaining sales goals
- Giving customers advice about sales and promotions
- Using upselling techniques to increase store sales
- Recommending the best products to customers
- Cleaning and restocking the store throughout the day, before opening and after closingAs a Bather, you are responsible to properly prepare, bathe and finish pets by using humane practices and minimizing pet stress. Additionally, the Bather is responsible for the maintenance and cleaning of the self-wash/grooming area of the store. You will also be required to perform Dog Nail Trims for walk in customers. If you're passionate about animals and love to take care of them, professional pet grooming is a great business for you. This is a great opportunity for the beginner groomer to learn from professional groomers. When you become a professional pet groomer, you can encourage pet health. You'll be able to promote healthy habits and inform people about ways to better care for their furry friends. Training through Paragon Dog Grooming Academy is offered.
Experienced preferred but will train the right person. Must love dogs, work well with a variety of personalities, and must be customer focused.
