Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Survey Manager for our survey department to lead our field surveyors and execute survey projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in surveying methodologies and technologies, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. This role requires excellent leadership skills, as well as proficiency in various surveying software and tools. The Survey Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all survey work is completed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with industry standards.
Duties
- Oversee and manage surveying projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.
- Coordinate with clients, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather project requirements and provide updates on progress.
- Utilize advanced surveying technologies such as Trimble GPS, DJI Drones, and 3D Scanners to collect accurate data for various projects.
- Use Trimble software and AutoCAD Civil3D to process survey data.
- Analyze survey data and prepare comprehensive reports that summarize findings for clients and project teams.
- Provide training and mentorship to junior survey staff on best practices and the use of surveying tools.
- Oversee field survey crew and ensure proper data collection techniques are employed by team members.
- Experience completing the following surveys Topographic, Route, ALTA, Boundary, Easement.
Skills
- Strong understanding of surveying principles, methodologies, and technologies including 3D scanning and GPS systems.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in data collection and reporting.
