Position Purpose:
The primary purpose of the Resident Care Coordinator is to provide direct nursing care to the individual receiving services and to monitor the day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants. This position may also require working on the floor, passing medications, and providing treatment to residents. The performance of these duties must be in accordance with the current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our care center, and as may be required and communicated by the Director of Nursing (DON) or Administrator to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times. This position is currently 72 hours per two-week pay period with some duties facilitating new nursing orientations.
Education and Experience:
• Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license in Minnesota as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Maintain current certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).

Organizational Responsibilities:

- Maintain confidentiality of company and individual receiving services related information at all times.
- Serve on, participate in, and attend various committees of the care center as appointed by the Director of Nursing or Administrator.
- Perform administrative requirements, such as completing necessary forms, reports, etc. and submitting such to the Director of Nursing or Administrator as required.
- Participate in quality improvement activities as delegated.
- Double check established workflow systems to ensure they are being followed.
