Three Little Pitties Rescue is a non profit dog and cat rescue looking to hire two experienced full time dog trainers at our facility in Friendswood, TX.
This is hard work, and very rewarding. Please only apply if you are serious in looking for a job with animals and you are physically able to handle the position.
Training specific to the position will be provided, however, you must have work experience with dog training, preferable some behavior modification knowledge and understanding, balanced training, and dog playgroups at a rescue, shelter, veterinary office, dog day care or other similar organization. We work will all breeds and all sizes. The role of of trainer is to provide socialization, perform behavior assessments, and provide training to help our dogs become more adoptable.

- Shifts available 7 days a week
Training specific to the position will be provided, however, you must have work experience with dog training, preferable some behavior modification knowledge and understanding, balanced training, and dog playgroups at a rescue, shelter, veterinary office, dog day care or other similar organization. We work will all breeds and all sizes. The role of of trainer is to provide socialization, perform behavior assessments, and provide training to help our dogs become more adoptable.
Additional Responsibilities In This Position Include
- basic animal care (walking dogs, feeding, cleaning kennels, if needed)
- gathering content (photos and videos) for the adoption profiles.
- Adding behavior notes to a dogs log daily
- Conducting behavior calls with adopters and fosters for guidance as needed
- Google systems for communication

Requirements
- Must be age 21
- Must have experience working with all breeds and sizes
- Work playgroups with other trainers
- Able to lift 40 lbs unassisted
- Ables to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Strong dog handling skills using positive reinforcement
- Working interview required
- Prior experience working with dogs in playgroups
