Position Summary
The Engineer I is responsible for delivering high-quality engineering and design documents that are constructible and meet project success factors. This role involves client communication, internal business processes, project management, and continuous learning, ensuring that projects are completed within budget, on schedule, and meet the required standards.
Responsibilities
Client Engagement: Assist with client communication, attend meetings, and advocate for client needs.
Engineering & Design: Prepare engineering plans, reports, and construction documents using computer-assisted design software; review construction sites; ensure adherence to quality control standards.
Project Support: Help develop construction cost estimates and assist with design computations and quantity estimates under supervision.
Financial Management: Contribute to project deliverables within budget and timelines; communicate with the Project Manager to meet project goals.
Professional Growth: Actively pursue professional development, certifications, and licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE).
Requirements
Education & Experience: BS in Civil Engineering with 0-2 years of experience. EIT registration preferred.
Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills; basic knowledge of algebra, geometry, and CAD software (AutoCAD, Civil3D, or OpenRoads preferred).
Physical & Environmental: Ability to work at a desk for long periods, lift 25 lbs, and perform in various work environments (office, construction sites, occasional travel).
Other: Valid driver’s license, willingness to work extended hours when necessary.
