Company: Three Oaks Hospice:

Are you an animal lover with a heart for helping others? Imagine the joy of providing comfort to someone in hospice care by ensuring their beloved pet is cared for and loved.
With our Pet Peace of Mind Program, you can make an extraordinary impact in a truly unique way!

This is your chance to combine your love for pets with your passion for helping people.

What is the Pet Peace of Mind Program?

Our program is dedicated to helping hospice patients keep their furry companions close by, even during the most challenging times. Pets are family, and your support as a volunteer ensures that bond remains unbroken.

Here’s how you’ll make a difference:
* Walk, feed, and care for pets when patients are unable to.
* Take pets to vet or grooming appointments.
* Provide temporary foster care for pets when needed (this is rare).
* Assist in finding loving homes for pets when rehoming is the best option.

Why Volunteer?

** You’ll Change Lives: Your time and compassion will ease the burden on families and give pets the care they deserve.
** Fulfillment Like No Other: Knowing you’ve helped keep a family and their pet together is a reward you can’t put a price on.
** Flexible Commitment: Volunteering just 4–6 hours a month can make an enormous impact.

Who Should Volunteer?

We’re looking for compassionate, dependable individuals who:
** Love animals and enjoy caring for them.
** Are patient, understanding, and empathetic.
** Have great organizational skills and a desire to help.

Whether you’re a seasoned pet parent, an animal care professional, or just someone who loves pets and helping others, this program is for you!

What’s Required?

Don’t worry—no special certifications are needed! We provide the training you need to succeed, including:
✅ Comprehensive hospice volunteer training.
✅ A program-specific orientation for Pet Peace of Mind.

All volunteers must complete a background check and TB test (we’ll guide you through the process and all things are provided/completed by Three Oaks Hospice)

Preferred (but not required) Skills:

  • Experience caring for animals (personal or professional).
  • Comfort with pets of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments.
  • Access to reliable transportation for vet visits and errands (rare)

This is a Volunteer Role (Non-Paid Position)

Your time and effort will bring peace of mind to patients and ensure their beloved pets are well cared for.
