Primary Purpose of Job:

The primary purpose of the position is to convince community stakeholders across the country of the importance and urgency of launching a TPI youth philanthropy program that will prepare future leaders for high-level roles in civic engagement and philanthropy.

 

General Description:

Under the supervision of the Chief Program Officer, the Director builds a portfolio of community champions and key leaders by developing relationships that will lead to the launch of new TPI programs; serves as the catalyst in helping the champion and community stakeholders organize and deploy a local steering committee charged with launching a program; does research on and qualifies new target communities locally and nationwide; and creates and distributes start-up packages, curriculum materials, program descriptions, videos and other marketing content to prospective program affiliates. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

1 - Identify and carry out due diligence on potential champions in target communities.

2 – Make initial and follow up outreach calls to champions and other stakeholders in target communities.

3 - Help champions recruit enthusiastic local steering committee members.

4 – Provide materials, guidance and technical assistance to champions and steering committees throughout the development process.

5 – Attend meetings with champions, steering committee members and other on-site meetings as required.

6 – Help guide pre-launch activities leading to program implementation.

 

Academic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree is desirable; equivalent life experience is acceptable.

 

Knowledge/Skills/Experience

Strong customer relations experience

Marketing and communications proficiencies

Mail Chimp, Sales Force or Constant Contact experience desired

Proven time and task management skills

Capability to work independently (virtually)

Background of philanthropy and civic engagement

Automobile required

Salary : $45,000 - $50,000
