Project Technician

Full Time | Day Shift | Including Rotating On-Call

What will I do as a Project Technician?

  • Responsible for the completion of all assigned work orders.
  • Maintain records of all work completed in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Perform a wide variety of construction and renovation tasks. This may include small remodel projects such as kitchen cabinet replacement, trim work, door replacement, minor carpentry, minor plumbing, minor electrical, special projects, painting, repair of windows and doors, roof repair, welding, torch cutting, etc.
  • Repair a wide variety of items such as blocked drains, faucets, light fixtures, electrical devices, handrails, beds, tables, chairs, motors, pumps, pneumatic controls, tractors, lawn mowers, motorized vehicles, etc.
  • Maintain HVAC units.
  • Assist in coordinating outside vendor services including project outlines, drawings, quotes, work schedules and job closeouts.
  • Maintain low pressure boiler systems.
  • Take on call responsibilities and as needed provide on-call assistance with other technicians.
  • Assist the campus Grounds Team as needed, including snow removal, maintenance of outdoors facilities, etc.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Follow state and federal regulations, and Three Pillars policies and procedures related to infection control, standard precautions, lock out/tag out, etc.
  • Ensure machinery and equipment are in proper working order.
  • Ensure all equipment and contractors follow OSHA standards.
  • Function as a Facilities Technician as needed.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with Three Pillars Campus vendors and contractors.
  • Maintain a positive image of Three Pillars in the community.
  • Keep current with industry trends through in-service training, continuing education, and personal and professional development.
  • Continually seek opportunities for quality improvement.
  • Actively recognize and appropriately respond to customer's needs.

What is required in this position?

  • High school diploma/GED.
  • Five (5) years of experience in Facilities Maintenance, Construction, or another related field.
  • Strong background in construction, plumbing repair, or electrical repair preferred.
  • Have a valid State of Wisconsin driver's license and the ability to transport self and materials to various locations on an occasional basis as well as drive company vehicles.
