Job Title: Safety Professional – Safety Operations
Client: Heavy Machine Manufacturing Industry
Duration: 1 year (extension possible)
Location: Morrisville, NC 27560
Shift: 1st shift (Mon-Fri)
Description:
Entry-level safety role ensuring compliance with regulations and company standards. Works with employees and supervisors to prevent injuries, identify hazards, and correct unsafe actions.
Responsibilities:
- Track OSHA metrics, injury reports, and compliance data.
- Investigate near-misses and workers' compensation claims.
- Maintain JDHS programs, safety policies, and audits.
- Conduct PPE approvals, safety training, and SOP development.
- Perform safety audits, inspections, and emergency drills.
- Oversee Emergency Response Team (ERT) and safety events.
- Liaison with regulatory agencies (OSHA, EPA, Homeland Security).
- Support disaster recovery, ergonomics, and first aid training.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
- CSP certification preferred.
- 2 years of safety experience.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
