Job Title : Lead Tour Guide / Coordinator, Group Tour and Customer Visits - Events Planning
Client : Heavy Machine Manufacturing Company
Duration : 7 Months
Location : Waterloo, IA 50704
Shift : Part-time up to 20 hours per week
- Looking for consistent hours per week, potentially 2 or 3 days a week on the same days each week.
- Work hours will not extend past 4 : 30 pm, Monday through Friday.

Ensures that excellent customer service is given to visitors and customers interested in learning about Client the company and the equipment it produces, resulting in the best possible Client experience.
Duties :
Coordinates and plans all factory tours.Prepares tour guide work schedules ensuring the appropriate number of tour guides are available.Compiles data necessary to prepare files or create standard and special reports using defined formats.Performs office administrative duties including correspondence, invoicing, filing, bill payment, and reporting.Acts as the Company representative during factory tours and events.Trains tour guides on tour routes and appropriate information to provide guests.This position may require driving.Position Title : Lead Tour Guide

Client seeks an experienced and dynamic Lead Tour Guide to oversee tour operations across various facilities. This key role not only involves providing exceptional, informative, and engaging tours but also managing visitor services activities and processes. The Lead Tour Guide will be instrumental in enhancing the visitor experience through leadership and innovation. This includes the development and implementation of process improvements to streamline tour operations and elevate guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities :
Provide exceptional guided tours and ensure high levels of visitor engagement and satisfaction.Oversee and coordinate aspects of visitor services, including tour scheduling, guest relations, and on-site logistics.Lead a team of tour guides, ensuring they are well-trained, motivated, and equipped to deliver high-quality tour experiences.Analyze current tour processes and visitor feedback to identify areas for improvement.Develop and implement process enhancements to streamline tour operations and enhance the overall visitor experience.Serve as the primary point of contact for all visitor-related inquiries and issues, ensuring swift and satisfactory resolution.Collaborate with other departments to integrate educational content and marketing strategies into tour narratives and visitor materials.Qualifications :
Proven experience as a tour guide or in a similar role, with a track record of managing visitor services.Strong leadership skills and experience in team management.Strong organizational and time management skills, with a keen attention to detail.Ability to think critically and offer creative solutions for process improvement.Passionate about providing educational and memorable experiences to visitors.Looking for a recent retiree with computer skills. Open to a current college student as well.Additional Information :
Candidates will need metatarsals for the first day. Business casual dress code.No travel is associated with this position.Candidates may drive a Client-owned Gator after successfully completing training.Visa sponsorship is not available , now or in the near future, for this position.Interviews will take place onsite or through MS Teams. The position will start onsite on the first day.This position is set up based on the fiscal year and will be extended every year.
