Required Knowledge and Experience
Experience with calibrated test equipment.
Familiarity with test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, function generators, etc.).Hands-on experience with mechanical systems (motors, gears, pneumatic / hydraulic systems).Proficiency in diagnosing / repairing electronic components (PCBs, sensors, actuators).Strong skills in interpreting schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.Nice To HaveFamiliarity with preventive maintenance schedules and repair strategies for high-value equipment.
Hands-on servicing of capital equipment in hospitals, clinics, or laboratories.Knowledge of diagnostics, troubleshooting, service, and repair of capital medical equipment (electronic instruments, surgical / laboratory equipment).ResponsibilitiesPerforms a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and / or optical areas.
Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems.Works from schematics, engineering drawings, and written or verbal instructions.Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format.Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed.Prepares prescribed compounds and solutions.Assists team members with picking parts and shipping service parts to customers / field service engineers.Technician Support Career StreamProvides technical support in production, operations, maintenance, safety, testing, process improvement, or product development.
