Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated, compassionate, and detail-oriented individual to fill a dual role as a Veterinary Receptionist and Kennel Assistant. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for pet owners while also assisting in the care and well-being of animals in our kennel. Duties
Veterinary Receptionist Duties:
- Greet clients in a friendly, professional manner and answer phone calls
- Schedule appointments and manage client records accurately
- Process payments, handle billing inquiries,
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk area
- Provide clients with information regarding services, products, and pet care
- Assist with managing inventory
Kennel Assistant Duties:
- Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the kennel area, including feeding, watering, and cleaning up after animals
- Monitor and record animals' behavior, health, and condition, reporting any concerns to the veterinary team
- Assist with exercise and socialization of pets in the kennel
- Provide comfort and companionship to animals while their owners are away
- Assist with transporting animals to and from appointments
- Schedule appointments and manage client records accurately
- Process payments, handle billing inquiries, and manage insurance claims
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk area
- Provide clients with information regarding services, products, and pet care
- Assist with managing inventory and ordering office supplies
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Veterinary Receptionist or in a similar role is preferred.
- Familiarity with veterinary terminology is highly desirable.
- Skills in dog handling and animal care are advantageous.
- Experience as a Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Proficient in using computer systems for scheduling and record management.
- A passion for animal welfare and commitment to providing excellent service.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
