JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the ongoing, effective operation of the Environmental Services provided in maintaining a clean, sanitary, and pleasant environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assures that the duties and responsibilities are clearly defined and communicated to department personnel.
- Oversees department inventory of supplies and equipment. Places janitorial supply purchase orders and equipment orders.
- Maintains department infection control procedures to prevent acquisition of nosocomial infections.
- Develops and implements effective cleaning routines facility-wide. Supervises planned scheduled cleaning projects.
- Responsible for preparing, maintaining, and posting of department staff work schedule to ensure proper staff coverage for all shifts. Daily monitoring of FTE variance and minimizing overtime.

Qualifications:
Job Requirements:
High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
One year Supervisory experience is strongly preferred
Previous hospital and/or hotel environmental services experience.
Knowledge of cleaning techniques and equipment with aptitude for attention to detail is required.
Flexibility regarding hours and scheduled work, based on department needs
