Responsibilities

At Three Rivers Behavioral Health, a 129 bed facility located in West Columbia, SC, we never forget that patients are people -- people with potential, who can have better relationships and live more productive lives.  For those who seek a secure environment, healing, hope, treatment, and recovery, Three Rivers is the first place for a second chance.  Three Rivers provides psychiatric, detoxification/ rehabilitation, and dual diagnosis treatment through inpatient services for adolescents and adults.  Our outpatient services include a Partial Hospitalization Program offering psychiatric day treatment for adults and an Adult Chemical Dependency Intensive Outpatient Treatment Program offering day and evening sessions.  Three Rivers Behavioral Health currently has a Per Diem Utilization Management position available Monday - Friday during the day.

 

Responsibilities: Provide precertification and verification of benefits for incoming patients. Coordinates the utilization management functions of a patient caseload through collaboration with the interdisciplinary treatment team and performance of reviews, with external review organizations/managed care companies. Discuss with patient various forms and obtain signatures from the patients.  Complete insurance verification from various payors and obtain correct information to complete precertification as well as appeals.

 

 


Qualifications

Minimum Requiredments:

 

Education: Masters' degree in a recognized mental health field or Registered Nurse.  

 

Experience: Two years psychiatric experience in chart analysis and in the utilization mangement field.

 

Additional requirements: Current RN license, LPC or LMSW preferred.
