What are the responsibilities and job description for the Finance - Soft Count Supervisor position at THREE RIVERS CASINO?
The Soft Count Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Soft Count Manager in the daily operations of the Soft Count Department.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensures the timely completion of administrative tasks such as evaluations, training and development, and support as requested by management.
- Assists management with scheduling, taking into consideration PTO, holidays and other high-volume days.
- Covers shifts for Team Members due to PTO, staff shortages, or vacations, performing job responsibilities as needed.
- Ensures that all Team Members are properly trained within their role and utilized to their full potential.
- Supervises and trains on the proper procedures for counting, verifying and strapping all of currency and ticket vouchers.
- Ensures compliance with all regulatory policies and procedures, gaming regulations and requirements, reporting any issues to management in a timely manner.
- Works with management on the creation of policies and procedures.
- Participates in all weekly VLT, Table Games, Sportsbook, and ATM Kiosk Drops & Counts, and ensures continuity of procedures of each task.
- Facilitates Audit Box runs & Golf Course paperwork bag transfers.
- Monitors inventory of supplies used in Cart Room and Count Room activities for Soft Count Department, including tracking, ordering and acquisition.
- Gathers information on machine malfunctions and barcode reprints, and performing on-the-spot training as needed.
- Organizes the storage and shred bin schedules of VLT tickets from the Florence facility and EGM tickets from the Coos Bay facility.
- Manages maintenance schedules for Cart Room, Count Room, VLT stacker cans, Table Games cans, Kiosk cans/cassettes and drop carts.
- Oversees condition of Drop & Count coveralls, ordering repairs or replacements as needed.
- Receives list of machine difficulties and prepares “Slot Issues” report to send to Slot Tech Manager and Gaming Deputy Director.
- Assists Manager with updates from Slot Tech Manager for new Asset number, updated spreadsheets, etc., for barcode printing and Cart organization.
- Maintains cleaning/maintenance schedules for Count Room and Players Services counting machines.
- Other duties as directed by management.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, Team Members may be exposed to secondhand tobacco smoke, including regular exposure for those working on the casino floor. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and can occasionally reach a high level for short periods of time.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to sit, stand and/or walk for up to 10 hours.
- Must be able to carry, reach, twist, bend and squat frequently.
- Must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance as needed.

Requirements:EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND ELIGIBILITY
- Minimum age requirement for this position is 21 years old.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Must have 2 years’ experience working in a Casino Soft Count role or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- May be required to have a valid driver’s license and be insurable by TRCR’s insurance agency.
- Thorough understanding of computer programs, including all Windows applications required, with an emphasis on Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Must possess excellent cash handling experience as well as basic math skills
- Must possess organizational and planning skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, verbally, in writing or by other acceptable means.
- Comply with pre-employment, random and reasonable suspicion alcohol and drug testing.
- Receive and maintain a valid gaming license from the CTCLUSI Tribal Gaming Commission.
- Availability to work all shifts including weekends and holidays based on the needs of the department and for special casino events.
