Position Goal:
This is general food service work involving the preparation, presentation and serving of food. Associates may be responsible to perform cashiering duties. Associate is responsible for maintaining sanitation standards in the preparation, service and dining room facilities.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Performs prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables.
- Weighs and measures designated ingredients.
- Carries pans, kettles and trays of food to and from work stations, stove and refrigerator in accordance with safety standards.
- Stores food in designated areas following wrapping, dating, food safety and rotation procedures.
- Cleans work areas, equipment and utensils.
- Distributes supplies, utensils and portable equipment.
- Utilizes approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control.
- Serves students and staff in a friendly, efficient manner following outlined steps of service.
- Resolves student and staff concerns and relays relevant information to supervisor.
- Ensures compliance with company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures.
- Assures compliance with all sanitation and safety requirements.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director and/or designee.
- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential job duty .
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or general education degree preferred
- Heavy lifting is required (over 25#).
- Simple math conversion skills.
- Basic computer and clerical skills.
- Ability to work independently and with little supervision.
- Prior experience in working with food service preferred
- Must have a positive attitude, be self-directed and be highly motivated.

Terms of Employment: Starting at $12.30/Hourly. 190 days. Monday-Friday. 7:30 am - 2:30 pm. This position generally follows the TRCS Academic Calendar. This position has non-working days during winter, spring and summer breaks as well as designated holidays. Salary, terms and other conditions of employment established by the Board of Education.
