Three Rivers Park District’s marketing team is seeking a Web Coordinator to join our intrepid and collaborative marketing team. This role leads website strategy, manages the content management system, collaborates closely with internal subject matter experts and serves as a core member of the content strategy team.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


1. Leads website content strategy and execution in alignment with Three Rivers’ marketing plan.

  • Drafts and reviews web content in accordance with Three Rivers’ voice and editorial standards.
  • Partners and serves as a consultant for other departments to develop creative and dynamic web content.
  • Develops web content strategy aligned with short-term and long-term marketing goals.
  • Performs regular content audits to ensure content is current and in accordance with Three Rivers’ voice and editorial standards as well as relevant to Three Rivers’ audiences.
  • Collaborates with other members of the marketing team and other departments to optimize exposure for the Three Rivers’ blog, podcast, programs and events.
  • Maintains monthly content calendar for the website.


2. Manages content management system (CMS)

  • Uses the CMS to analyze website traffic and user engagement metrics.
  • Optimizes content according to SEO.
  • Manages and publishes daily web requests for content updates.
  • Trains staff deemed ‘super users’ to publish content.


3. Manages website vendor relationships with scope ranging from day-to-day trouble shooting/needs to largescale projects

  • Serves as main point of contact with primary web vendor and attends weekly status meetings for ongoing projects.
  • Coordinates with marketing manager, marketing team members and other departments to execute deliverables for web projects.
  • Manages all URLs and domain names associated with Three Rivers’ website.


4. Manages marketing department metrics for channels related to core function (web/blog) as well as entirety of marketing channels (e.g., social media, podcast, email).

  • Reviews and reports monthly metrics for success and areas for improvement and optimization for both the website and blog.
  • In addition to pulling monthly metrics for the website and blog, the web content coordinator requests monthly metrics from marketing team members for other marketing channels and maintains all metrics in one master document to report to the marketing manager.


5. Partners with marketing team members for creation and promotion of Three Rivers’ blog.

  • Collaborates with team members for development and execution of content strategy for the blog in alignment with Three Rivers’ marketing plan.
  • Collaborates with staff throughout Three Rivers to seek out engaging topics that tell Three Rivers’ story.
  • Drafts and reviews blog copy in accordance with Three Rivers’ voice and editorial standards.


6. Serves as a core member of the content creation team (website, social media, blog and podcast).

  • Collaborates with team members to optimize cross-promotion and integrated marketing across channels.
  • Proofreads and edits documents, publications, online content as assigned.


7. Stays informed of best practices and current trends in website development and digital management. Assists in website design development.


8. Serves as backup and support for digital marketing coordinator.


9. Performs other related duties as apparent or assigned.


QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Web Design, Computer Science or related field and four (4) years of professional level experience in web-based marketing communications, web development/management or any combination of education and experience equal to the above.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and government regulations. Ability to write marketing copy that is promotional and persuasive in nature; ability to write reports and informational materials for public distribution following Three Rivers and accepted journalistic communication styles. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees, media representatives, and the public. Strong communication skills, oral and written.

TECHNICAL SKILLS: Ability to maintain and update a website using a content management system; understand and write basic HTML. Knowledge of current web design trends and techniques, and the ability to develop skills in emerging technologies to enhance visitor experience. Specific knowledge or expertise with Drupal or similar content management

system, Photoshop, Google Analytics and Acrobat suite are preferred. Familiarity with social media and email marketing platforms and tools a bonus (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, MailChimp, etc.)

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all unites of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES: Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and develop and maintain effective working relationships with Three Rivers staff, vendors and the general public. Independently productive with excellent organization, planning and analytical skills. As required, must be able to travel to Park District facilities, properties, and meeting locations to conduct on-site work in a timely manner. Requires strong organizational, communication and proofreading skills. Ability to complete multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Google Analytics certification or experience with marketing analytics a plus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to site and to manipulate computer keyboards, office equipment, machines, and material. The employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee must occasionally life and/or move up to 35 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works in outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Salary : $60,000 - $70,000
