Three Rivers Park District is seeking to fill the position of Interpretive Naturalist at Lowry Nature Center in Victoria, MN. This position is responsible for developing, conducting, and enhancing interpretive programming and outputs to educate audiences and facilitate an appreciation, enjoyment and utilization of the natural world and amenities of Three Rivers Park District.
STARTING SALARY RANGE : $53,411 - $66,000.00 / annually
FULL SALARY RANGE : $53,411 - $96,432 / annually

Essential Duties and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in education, natural sciences, outdoor recreation, related or equivalent fields, AND two years of experience equivalent to full time as an Interpretive Naturalist. Any combination of post-baccalaureate education and experience equivalent to two full years experience may be acceptable.

Interpretive Naturalists at Lowry Nature Center teach learners of all ages. However, this position has a unique focus of concentrating on pre-school audiences. Please describe your experience with pre-school audiences.What age group have you taught most frequently? How do you adjust your teaching style to be most effective with each group of learners?
Describe a project or idea that was implemented primarily because of your efforts. What was your role in the implementation? What was the outcome?
Another focus of this position is to be the resident naturalist at a local school that serves K-4. What are the key ingredients in guiding and maintaining successful relationships with program partners, volunteers and park visitors? Give examples of relationships you have cultivated.
This position will be asked to work a variety of shifts including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and overnights. Scheduling is variable based on programming demands. Will you be able to work this type of schedule?
