Job Summary:
Three Way ISD is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic educator to teach Reading and Social Studies to our combined 1st and 2nd grade classes. We are a small rural district with a strong sense of community and a growing commitment to high-quality instruction and student success. The ideal candidate will be passionate about early literacy, create engaging cross-curricular experiences, and embrace the opportunities of a 4-day instructional week.
Responsibilities:
Design and deliver high-quality reading and social studies instruction aligned with the TEKS.
Provide differentiated instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners in a multi-grade classroom.
Foster a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment that encourages student growth and curiosity.
Integrate literacy across content areas and provide opportunities for students to build background knowledge, vocabulary, and comprehension.
Utilize assessment data to inform instruction and monitor student progress.
Collaborate with grade-level and campus teams to support instructional planning, RTI, and campus goals.
Communicate regularly with families about student progress and classroom activities.
Incorporate technology, hands-on learning, and research-based practices into daily instruction.
Support district initiatives and attend professional development aligned to campus and district priorities.
Participate in campus events, school-wide programs, and community engagement opportunities.
Qualifications:
Valid Texas teaching certificate (EC-6 or appropriate certification)
Strong foundation in the science of reading and early childhood development
Experience with small group instruction and progress monitoring
Ability to manage a multi-grade classroom with creativity and organization
Effective communication and collaboration skills
Commitment to student achievement and continuous improvement
